Every small business dreams of hitting it big with free PR + media exposure. They want to go viral, have celebrities and well-known influencers becoming brand advocates, and be seen and promoted in places like The Today Show.

But when opportunity knocks, will you be ready?

Case in point: A client of mine was featured on The Today Show.

The segment was a story about a business that cultivates and sells items specifically for people with special needs. That business owner was interviewed, and close-ups of many of their products were shown. The interview also continued as a voice-over while lifestyle images of a few products were shown.

And guess what? 

The products that got the MOST air-time on The Today Show were the ones that had brand photos ready to go!

Here’s why… 

Media outlets NEED VISUAL CONTENT to accompany their stories. If you want to be featured somewhere, you’d better have good marketing photos for them to use!

Having good branding photos ready-to-go meant that my client received over 3x the on-screen time than most other products seen in that segment.
